We just got back from my ultrasound. I have 7-8 good size follicles that measured anywhere from 12mm-16mm. The smaller ones won't catch up at this point. So, the 7-8 that I have are looking really good. We're not sure now if they will still have us do the trigger shot tonight or maybe go back in for another ultrasound tomorrow and do the trigger shot tomorrow night. We'll have to wait and see - this is the hardest part! I will hear this afternoon what the plan will be.
When we go for retrieval, they will take anything over 12mm. They like to see them closer to 16-18mm. But anything over 12mm can contain a mature egg. Even once I get the trigger shot, the follicles will continue to grow so it's just up to the doctor to determine when the best timing of everything is going to be.
We are both such planners...this is the hardest part. One day we think we are leaving Sunday, then it changes to Monday. It is definitely keeping us on our toes.
