It was a long night. We were just trying to figure out a way for all of this to still work asap. I called the nurse this morning and went over every possibility with her. In the end we came up with a new schedule.
I will stop the Lupron and Dexamethasone and restart the birth control pill (active pills only). I will then take my last pill on February 28th. I will restart the Lupron and Dexamethasone on February 24th. My new baseline ultrasound and blood test will be March 4th (that's the same appointment I had yesterday). Assuming all is well, I will then start the stimulating meds on March 7th. That puts our tentative retrieval date at March 18th and the transfer 3-5 days after that.
Ugh! So, yes it's another month. But, we're trying to be positive. Everything happens for a reason. Now we can each have a drink, or two, for Superbowl on Sunday. We can enjoy the hot tub for a couple more weeks. I am just relieved this morning to have a schedule and plan again. This next month will be hard as we wait, AGAIN. But hopefully February will go by quickly and March will be here before we know it.

I love your attitude!!! You can do all things through Christ who gives you strength....I love your blog. I think it was a great idea to start one. There was so much I didn't know or didn't even think to ask about...sorry. I love you.
ReplyDeleteLove, me
One of the things I love most about you is your ability to see the positives and look ahead to the new day! Philippians 3:14...this made me think of you! I'm with Amy, I love the blog too :)
ReplyDeleteI've always admired your attitude Kel! Now...I can tell you are turning into a real Wisconsinite...one of the positives is being able to have a drink or two for the Super Bowl! You're awesome :) But seriously, I am sorry about your setback, but happy that you have a schedule and a plan in place. I too believe that everything happens for a reason!
ReplyDeleteLove ya,
