New Schedule

It was a long night. We were just trying to figure out a way for all of this to still work asap. I called the nurse this morning and went over every possibility with her. In the end we came up with a new schedule.

I will stop the Lupron and Dexamethasone and restart the birth control pill (active pills only). I will then take my last pill on February 28th. I will restart the Lupron and Dexamethasone on February 24th. My new baseline ultrasound and blood test will be March 4th (that's the same appointment I had yesterday). Assuming all is well, I will then start the stimulating meds on March 7th. That puts our tentative retrieval date at March 18th and the transfer 3-5 days after that.

Ugh! So, yes it's another month. But, we're trying to be positive. Everything happens for a reason. Now we can each have a drink, or two, for Superbowl on Sunday. We can enjoy the hot tub for a couple more weeks. I am just relieved this morning to have a schedule and plan again. This next month will be hard as we wait, AGAIN. But hopefully February will go by quickly and March will be here before we know it.

  3. I've always admired your attitude Kel! Now...I can tell you are turning into a real Wisconsinite...one of the positives is being able to have a drink or two for the Super Bowl! You're awesome :) But seriously, I am sorry about your setback, but happy that you have a schedule and a plan in place. I too believe that everything happens for a reason!
